Government to consider 'third way' on procurement

The Government Construction Board will today hear of a "third way" for procurement reform as the procurement and lean client task group presents its interim findings in a new report. The group - chaired by Navigant Consulting chief operating officer Nick Pollard -will recommend the government's biggest clients trial three new procurement models, as they look to find 20 per cent savings from the cost of public sector construction. The Government Construction Strategy recommended two new models be trialled when it was published in May this year.
