A recent Q&A paper published by the Health and Safety Executive has made clear that vibration monitoring is not necessary. The Control of Vibration at Work Regulations states there is no need for routine continual monitoring of workers' exposure to vibration. However, it points out the need to decide what a worker's exposure over a typical day or week is likely to be as part of a vibration risk assessment. This could include a period of monitoring.
