Companies in Scotland and Northern Ireland are bearing the brunt of declining workloads, according to the latest State of Trade Survey from the Federation of Master Builders. Regional figures based on workload, expected workload and enquiries, weighted by each organisation's size, show Scotland and Northern Ireland with net balances of -51 and -52 respectively in the final quarter of 2010. A net balance of zero would indicate equal proportions of positive and negative answers.
