￡1bn Cornwall housing project put on hold

A 5,000 eco-home development by Eco-Bos in St Austell, Cornwall, has been halted due to planning concerns. The ￡1 billion scheme would have seen homes and green spaces built on five former china clay processing sites near Penwithick, Bugle, Par,Trewoon and Nanpean. Eco-Bos, which was set up to develop the homes, submitted a planning application in February 2011 for the development, which was set to comprise 40 per cent affordable housing.
