Bank to unveil new Green Deal and offshore wind boost

Leaders of the Green Investment Bank are "very hopeful" of announcing transactions in the coming weeks that will help boost offshore wind farms. They are also in talks with city regions as "early adopters" of the Green Deal, and are looking for partners to unblock a ￡600 million pipeline of waste projects, such as biomass plants. The GIB revealed two funding commitments, worth a total ￡l3m, for an energy-from-waste project and a retrofit scheme for Kingspan, as it officially opened last week.
