After a relatively stable 2009 and 2010, hotel and leisure awards in London dipped last year before rebounding - this year's total has already exceeded 2011's. However, it remains to be seen how much of this was the last of the pre-Olymplcs boom. The offices sector is also on course to surpass last year's figure, which itself was more than double the total recorded in 2010. Retail activity continues to defy the dire conditions seen on high streets elsewhere in the UK.
