JCB has certainly been busy. The announcement by its chief innovation and growth officer Tim Burnhope that there have been 66 new products in 2012, more than in any other year, has given cause for celebration. Adding to this success, director of engine performance Alan Tolley has hailed the firm's production of its 200,000th Dieselmax engine since it was rolled out in 2004. But these milestones were merely a prelude to the company's main focus for 2012: the launch of its Ecomax Stage IIIB engine -the result of an £80 million investment and one that offers a range of clever innovations that the manufacturer is convinced can't be found anywhere else.
