Nixon Hire makes big investment as upturn looms

Nixon Hire has invested £7m on 107 telescopic handlers as part of a wider growth programme. The machines, from JCB, have lift heights ranging from 7 m up to 17 m. The firm has already taken delivery of the kit, which is now on hire on civil engineering, housebuilding and warehousing projects around the country. The purchase is part of £l9m the company has spent since January on its own vehicles and on its fleet of plant, accommodation and toilets.
