Balfour Beatty could start insisting its subcontractors use building information modelling within the next couple of years, according to its director of BIM. Peter Trebilcock told the Construction News Summit that the contractor had a number of initiatives to help and encourage its supply chain partners to begin using BIM, including conferences,workshops and feedback meetings. "It's good when the whole supply chain is BIM-literate, and our plea is for more and more of our supply chain to join us on our journey," he said.
