The tide is turning for the commercial sector

The commercial sector has been one of the major concerns within the construction industry over the past 18 months. As the industry's largest sector, which was hailed as one of the drivers of sustained growth when the recession first began, it was a worry when new orders started contracting and development plans stalling. The sector's 12 per cent dip in output last year took it to the lowest level since 1997.
