摘要

A parliamentary investigation will examine whether construction companies that have used blacklists should be barred from tendering for public sector contracts. An interim report from the House of Commons' Scottish Affairs Committee said it would seek evidence to determine whether blacklisting still takes place within the industry. The report, published on Tuesday, said it would examine the issue of compensation for victims and punishment of firms and individuals that used blacklists. The committee plans to question more employees from the 43 firms or company divisions it says subscribed to The Consulting Association before it closed in 2009.
