Stanhope in new partnership for build-to-rent

A major property developer is to team up with a London-based housing association to build hundreds of homes for the capital's rental sector. Stanhope has confirmed it has entered a joint venture with Wembley-based Network Housing Group, with the aim of purchasing and developing build-to-rent projects. The JV is looking at potential opportunities in Westminster, Brent and Harlow and says it will target sites that are well served by public transport to suit young professionals and families. Post-completion, Network will provide the long-term management and maintenance of the developments. Stanhope has overseen projects with a combined value of £20bn and is currently building 950 homes at the site of the BBC's former headquarters in White City. Network is one of London's 15 largest housing associations. It owns and manages more than 19,000 homes in London, Hertfordshire and the South-east.
