Good CSR makes good business sense, says EIC

Corporate social responsibility is defined by the European Commission as 'the responsibility of enterprises for their impacts on society'. The construction industry, with its close connections with society and the environment, is therefore an ideal place for exercising good CSR practice. For M&E contractor EIC, CSR has become a significant part of business strategy, alongside a will to be acting conscientiously. The approach has enabled the development of lasting relationships with clients and local communities and is a thread which now runs through all aspects of project delivery, as EIC director Campbell Murdoch explains.
