Manchester Uni delays refurb of listed building

Manchester University has delayed plans to refurbish part of a listed campus building after a financial rethink. The university said it was pausing parts of the £35m refurbishment work on its Coupland 3 building and will reconsider the scheme next year. A spokesman for Manchester University said: "Because of our need to deliver a sustainable financial position to enable us to invest and meet our Manchester 2020 ambitions, we have decided to pause parts of the Coupland 3 project.
