L&G invests £53m in Dover retail project

Legal and General Property is investing £53.3m in a major retail and leisure development in Dover. The investor will work alongside developer Bond City, which has been involved with the St James project for more than 10 years. Once complete, the scheme will include 156,915 sq ft of retail and leisure space, including a cinema and a hotel. Preconstruction works have already begun, with completion due in 2017. The scheme is 69 per cent pre-let,with a further 3 per cent under offer.
