Laing O'Rourke and Bowmer & Kirkland are lining up for a major £l50m revamp of Nottingham's Broadmarsh shopping centre, Construction News understands. The two contractors are facing off to demolish and rebuild large areas of the existing shopping complex in Nottingham city centre for client Intu. Redevelopment plans include a reconfiguration of the existing floorspace and the construction of a nine-screen cinema, operated by cinema firm The Light, which has signed as an anchor tenant for the scheme.
