摘要

One important aspect of sustainability in construction and development is to limit the generation of waste. Realistically, it is rare not to generate any waste during projects, so we often work with clients to discover ways they can reuse some of it. Here are a few tips. This can be repurposed into brushwood piles on site to make perfect bug hotels and mini-beast areas. Insects love to make their homes in wood piles where they can burrow into crevices. Excess soil and wood can also be used to construct hibernacula - places for creatures to hibernate - as well as animal refuges and reptile basking banks. Another popular approach is to create egg-laying heaps by storing grass and brush cuttings, which are perfect for reptiles to wriggle inside and find somewhere warm for their young.
