Skanska UK tripled its pre-tax margin to 2.3 per cent in 2018, as turnover increased to £1.94bn. Accounts for the year ending 31 December 2018 revealed the company made a pre-tax profit of £44.1m,up from £13.5m the previous year. The firm's results in 2017 were hit by a £33m writedown in the second quarter of the year, which chief executive Gregor Craig made less than two months after taking over at the firm.
