Ex-Vinci UK finance boss in stadiums switch

Former Vinci group finance director Jean-Pierre Bonnet has left the UK business to take up a different role at the French contracting giant. Mr Bonnet is now chief financial officer of Vinci's stadiums operation, part of its concessions business.The division operates five stadiums across France and the UK, including the Stade de France in Paris and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park Stadium in east London. No decision has been made yet on his UK replacement. Mr Bonnet joined Vinci in 1995 as finance director of its French construction business. He was later appointed group finance director of Vinci Plc, the UK operation, in October 2014. Vinci UK had reported a huge £216.9m pre-tax loss in 2014 due to problem contracts in its building and civils divisions.The management team was overhauled with four directors resigning and Mr Bonnet arriving. The company has since slimmed down its operations and has worked on major infrastructure projects in the UK in recent years, including Crossrail and Tideway.
