SQA sets out firm expansion plans

With a history of offering a suite of qualifications in Scotland, SQA has expanded its offering across the UK in recent years. Construction workers and prospective trainees are flocking to new regulated qualifications offered by the Scottish Qualifications Authority to help meet the ever-evolving requirements of the industry. According to SQA national manager for England, Wales and Ireland Gillian Hepburn, the new qualifications have been designed by CITB in partnership with leading construction firms using national standards to reflect the skills that the industry wants and needs, as well as to meet new criteria laid down by industry bodies.
