During my inaugural speech I tried to set out a vision for a CIOB that is aspirational and would be at the heart of a career in construction. Included within that were designations which reflected what we do and were more relevant globally. For the last year, we have been working on the aspiration to have an alternative Chartered title available for members. I am delighted to report that no objections from other bodies have been raised to our proposals and Privy Council advisers have reviewed and accepted in principle our proposed changes to the Charter and Bye-Laws.
