Why would an author start a project management book with a chapter on multiple project management? That was my first question when I started reading this book. To be honest, I still do not have a clue. The author does not provide a convincing explanation. When I teach project management, programme management will be the final topic. Once students understand the PM basics they can be introduced to the potentially wider context of where firms are involved in multiple projects. In my understanding the first chapter of this book should be the last.
