Dynapac fleet at Turkish dam

A fleet of four newrnDynapac rollers is working on the massive Alkumru Dam in south eastern Turkey. A total of 18 million m~3 of clay and rockfill is being compacted to form a finished structure with a height of 134 m from foundation level and a crest length of 909 m.rnThe € 344 million Alkumru Dam is one of seven adjacent dams to be constructed on Botan Brook, a tributary of the River Dicle, and once completed at the end of 2010,rnwill transform the region into one of large lakes providing much needed electricity, via a hydro electric power plant.
