The European Parliament has come up with a range of unrealistic and impractical suggestions for the revised EPB directive. In the meantime, FIEC is concerned the basic issues of improving energy efficiency are not being considered.rnThe revision of the energyrnPerformance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) was expected to be simple. Under the Commission's November 2008 proposal, Member States would have to establish minimum energy performance requirements for new buildings. When it came to renovation, existing buildings had to meet these requirements when it was "technically, functionally and economically feasible."
