In November, CE asked respondents for the third year running what their organisations' recruitment policy was at present. Most striking was the fact that a quarter of companies are now recruiting for new posts - a significant increase from the last two years. However, the most common position once again is that companies are not filling posts as people leave, and 14% of companies are still trying to cut jobs, mostly by voluntary means. Overall though the picture looks much brighter than it has for the previous two years.
