In June, CE asked respondents to its survey about pay increases within their organisations, and compared these results to those from two years ago, in the depths of the recession. Although 10% of respondents said pay was still being cut, this was not as high as the 15% that saw their wages fall in 2009. Indeed, almost 50% of respondents to last month's survey said their employers were now increasing salaries, while two years ago only 40% were in this position. However, it is perhaps a reflection of the slow recovery form recession that 42% of respondents work for companies that have frozen wages - almost the same result as seen in 2009.
