Recycling concrete

The UK CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY currently produces 120 million tonnes of waste every year, around 20 million tonnes of which ends up in landfill. Increasing EU pressure is forcing all businesses to consider how they handle their construction waste. By law, any construction project over £ 300000 (€ 333000) now has to have a written statement of how they handle the waste they will produce from the project. According to mini crusher manufacturer Red Rhino, the UK currently recycles only 15% of its concrete waste, compared to Denmark, for example, which recycles 90%.
