Nonstruction output in the US for the 12 months to the end of September stood at US$852 billion (€652 billion), a 0.6% improvement on the 12-month rolling total for August, and 7.8% higher than in September 2011. The increase was driven by a 14.4% year-on-year rise in privately-funded construction, with the residential sector, along with lodging, office, educational and power-related construction work performing particularly well.
