EIB backs Polish projects

The European Investment Bank (EIB) has approved funding for PLN 1 billion (€240 million) under a long-term loan agreement to finance municipal infrastructure projects in Warsaw, Poland. The loan will support mobility schemes, education, social and healthcare infrastructure projects and the modernisation of public and green spaces as part of Warsaw's 2014 to 2019 investment programme. The Vistula River bank area will be developed, integrating it with the historic centre and introducing flood protection measures.
