Items are still under scrutiny for Stage Ⅴ

Negotiations in the European Parliament and the European Council of Member States on Stage Ⅴ engine exhaust emissions legislation for non-road mobile machinery (NRMM) are in full swing. CECE is monitoring the developments closely, and provides expert input where possible and when necessary. The new requirements will replace Directive 97/68/EC and result in the EU having the world's most stringent emission limit values for construction equipment and other NRMM. The rate of introduction across the entire power range of equipment, irrespective of combustion cycle and fuel, will be unprecedented. Many equipment manufacturers are already feeling the effects of the pending rules, weighing heavily on future investment budgets while still digesting the introduction of Stages 1MB and IV in economically challenging times.
