The 10~(th) Steinexpo show is expected to draw more than 45,000 visitors over the four days from 30 August, when it opens its doors in the largest basalt quarry in Europe. The organisers, Geoplan, said that this time, special attention would be paid to comfort in the MHI Nieder-Ofleiden stone quarry during the Steinexpo exhibition. Whereas previously only shuttle buses were available for the longer walking distances between levels, two powerful elevators will be installed from mid-August this year.
