Mersey Gateway meets in the middle

In January, Trinity, one of the two giant bridge-building machines working on the Mersey i Gateway project in north west England, finished work on the final central span of the elevated north approach viaduct. The movable scaffolding system (MSS) constructed 11 road deck spans, creating one seamless structure that sits on top of the supporting bridge piers that stretch across the | saltmarsh.
