Metso president and CEO Nico Delvaux has resigned from his post at the Finnish company, to take up the same role at lock manufacturer Assa Abloy.Delvaux joined Metso, the industrial company serving the mining, aggregates, recycling, oil, gas, pulp, paper and process industries, in August 2017.Assa Abloy is based in Sweden and claims to be the world's largest lock manufacturer by sales volume.Metso's CFO Eeva Sipilae has been appointed as interim president and CEO of the company by its board of directors.Sipilae has been a member of Metso's executive team since 2016, and deputy to the CEO since the beginning of 2017.
