Dual-engine cold milling

The W 210 is one of two large new cold milling machines from Wirtgen that will be seem for the first time at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2011. The newW 210 dual-engine model can be equipped with milling drum assemblies of 59inches (1.5m), 79inches (2m), or 87inches (2.2m) working width. The W 210 features a novel fuel-saving drive concept, using two diesel engines for a total of 671hp (500kW) with both engines engaged. Like the single-engine W 200 - also being launched at the show - it features three selectable engine speeds for a broad range of applications. Its operating weight is 31 US tons (28.2tonnes). The company says that a new highlight in the large milling machine class will also be revealed at the show. Wirtgen will also be displaying the W 50 DC rumbler for high-production cutting of milled rumble strips.
