With a maximum lift height of 20 feet and a maximum load capacity of 5,500 pounds, the 525-60 is 5 feet 10 inches wide and 6 feet 3 inches tall, with 3 steer modes, including four-wheel steer, allowing access to multi-story parking garages and operation in confined areas. Featuring a modern side-engine mount design, the 525-60 Hi-Viz replaces the 524-50,527-55 and the 520-50 rear-engine models. This design permits a low-boom pivot point for maximum stability and increased visibility to the rear of the machine and across its boom, JCB says. A Tier 4-Final, 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine with 74 horsepower powers the unit. Upgraded JLG SkyTrak telehandlers feature improved boom speeds, a Cummins 3.8L Tier 4-Final engine, and a redesign of the rear counterweight, which now includes a retrieval hitch as standard. An improved braking system requires less effort and reduces fatigue, the company says, and a new dash panel provides better visibility of the instrument cluster and dash controls.
