Those are the numbers claimed by General Motors for this Chevrolet 3500 HD, which the division sent my way for a week's tryout a while ago. This vehicle is built to work. Its 445-horsepower Duramax 6600 diesel with 910 lb.-ft. of torque, Allison 6-speed automatic transmission, and beefy frame, suspensions, and axles would see to that. Indeed, work is the essence of a dually pickup, and I feel sheepish because I had nothing at hand to carry or pull except some tools and a few pieces of furniture.
