A laboratory investigation of repair techniques and materials was conducted to evaluate application methods and performance characteristics of several prepackaged repair materials combined with low pressure epoxy injection to repair impact damage to a prestressed concrete bridge girder. The girder was struck on the bottom flange by an overheight vehicle and subsequently removed and taken to the laboratory for damage assessment and repair studies. In addition to concrete repair studies, internal strand splice assemblies were installed on the repaired Girder to assess installation techniques and the structural performance of several different splice Assemblies.
