In this study, a three-dimensional (3-D) finite element (FE) model was developed and validated to evaluate the effect of thermal gradient on behavior of Precast Prestressed Concrete Pavement (PPCP) system. The FE model developed was then utilized to perform a numerical analysis for determination of the curling deflections and curling stresses by changing the important pavement parameters (i.e., prestress forces, concrete property, and subgrade stiffness). Results indicated that the 3-D FE model developed for PPCP system was capable of providing reliable predictions in consideration of the effect of thermal gradient on change in curling deflection and stress.
