摘要

The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of a set of admixtures on coating mortar. To achieve this, the Simplex method helped to establish different combinations of Water-retaining agent (W), Air-entraining agent (A) and Plasticizer (P) admixtures. The research analyzed fresh state properties, mechanical properties, physical indexes and adapted aging test. The results showed that the increase of "A" had a directly effect on the air content and on total porosity. "A" had an inversely proportionate influence, and "P" had a directly proportionate influence on fresh state and hardened state density. Adhesive strength's results were unsatisfactory when the mixtures had only "A" or "P" admixtures. In addition, the increase of "P" directly influenced the mechanical strength. Therefore, the combination of admixtures is more efficient than the individual utilization, if it is properly dosed. Otherwise, it may cause side effects, affecting durability and mechanical properties of the mortar. (C) 2019 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
