Roshen Sales Up 33%

Ukraine's leading confectionery manufacturer Roshen has announced first half sales of $400 million, a 33% increase compared to the first half of 2007.rnThe company said production volumes rose 6% on the year, to an output of 180,000 tons. Of this 80,000 tons were sold on the domestic market, 7% more than the same period in 2007.rnThe company is investing €40 million in production development, at its facilities in the Vinnitsia region and in Lipetsk, Russia. The largest confectionery manufacturer in the Ukraine, Roshen employs over 10,000 people and produces nearly a third of all Ukrainian confectionery.
