Spangles have topped a poll as the most missed retro sweets, according to a new online survey. Money saving website NetVoucherCodes. co.uk asked 620 shoppers which sweets and chocolate they would like to see make a comeback. Fruity treats Spangles, which were discontinued in the mid 1980s, were the number one choice for 18 per cent of those polled. Chocolate bar Banjo took the second spot, with respondents hankering after the taste of peanuts and chocolate. The twin bar treat was phased out during the 1980s. Fry's Five Centres, a chocolate bar with five squares, each with a different fruit cream filling, came in at third place with 14 per cent.
