Based in Exeter, UK, Choc Edge is thought to be one of the leading 3D chocolate printing companies. The company, which started as a research project at the University of Exeter, wanted to create a 3D printer that could produce objects in a material that hadn't been used for 3D printing before. Its desktop printer - Choc Creator V2.0 Plus - creates everything from bespoke 3D printed heads to 2D logos using tempered dark chocolate in just 45 minutes. Some products contain up to 40 layers of chocolate, which each take less than a minute to dry.
