Using silica to control bleed and segregation in self-compacting concrete

Silica sols offer many possibilities to enhance concrete performance for the concrete formulator in a cost-efficient way. In particular, they: 1. can be used both as a rheology modifier and as a strength developer/enhancer in SCC or other high-workability concretes 2. can be used in existing dispensing equipment in ready-mixed concrete plants 3. are stable and consistent products with an environmentally friendly profile.
