Ever since the Egyptians in about 1500 BC first took veneers of timber and bonded them together using animal glues the world has been striving to manufacture plywood that is good-looking, strong and cost-efficient. Timber is the only renewable resource for construction that we have and effective utilisation of all grades and species to manufacture high-quality plywood panels is not only commercially sensible, it makes good ecological sense too.
