Europe's highest channel construction site:FBS reinforced concrete pipes used in the Alps

Der 1,31 km2 große Stausee liegt in den österreichischen Alpen im Bundesland Vorarlberg auf einer Seehöhe von 2.030 m ü. NHN in einer Senke der Silvretta-Gruppe. Während der Bauphase wird das Wasser des Stausees abgelassen und die ILL, die dem nahegelegenen Ochsentalgletscher entspringt und im Silvrettasee aufgestaut wird, über eine ca. 200 m lange Leitung aus Stahlbetonrohren um das Baufeld herum geleitet. Hierbei handelt es sich um FBS-Stahlbetongroßrohre DN 1600 nach DIN EN 1916 - DIN V 1201 mit Falzmuffe und Keilgleitdichtung am Spitzende, hergestellt nach der Qualitätsrichtlinie 1.1 der Fachvereinigung Betonrohre und Stahlbetonrohre e.V. (FBS). Sie wurden von der Hans Rinningeru. Sohn GmbH & Co. im Betonwarenwerk in Kißlegg im Allgäu produziert und bereits im Dezember 2010 zur Einbaustelle transportiert.%The artificial lake having a size of 1.31 km~2 located in the Austrian Alps in the federal state of Vorarlberg is situated 2,030 m above sea level (above NHN) in a depression of the Silvretta mountain group. During the period of construction, the water of the artificial lake is drained and the river ILL, that has its source in the nearby Ochsentaler glacier and is dammed in the lake Silvretta, is diverted around the construction site via an about 200 m long pipeline made of reinforced concrete pipes. For this purpose, FBS reinforced concrete pipes of DN 1600 are used in accordance with DIN EN 1916 - DIN V 1201 fitted with sleeves and wedge-shaped sliding seal at the spigot end. The pipes are manufactured according to the quality guideline 1.1 of the FBS - Fachvereinigung Betonrohre und Stahlbetonrohre e.V. (German trade association concrete pipes and reinforced concrete pipes). They are manufactured in the concrete product factory of Hans Rinnin-ger & Sohn GmbH & Co. located in KiBlegg in the Allgaeu region, from where they were transported to the construction site already in December.
