Agility Logistics in China buyout move

Kuwait based Global Logistics Group Agility Logistics will strengthen its operations in China through a deal to acquire ocean freight forwarder Shanghai headquartered Cosa Freight, which has offices in six key locations in China and a presence in Hong Kong. Agility said that Cosa Freight - which also has a presence in the US and Canada - has a particular strength on the transpacific trade and provides a full range of services to the retail sector, including origin consolidation/upstream inventory management programmes in China and warehousing, trans-loading and delivery in the US. Wolfgang Hollermann, ceo, Asia Pacific for Agility, said; 'We are committed to strengthening our network in China and other strategically important countries in the region, and also expanding our range of freight and logistics services throughout the country in order to better meet customer demand. The acquisition of Cosa Freight will help us achieve these goals.'
