DP World moves on its projects

Despite the much-publicised recent financial problems at Dubai World and the uncertainty surrounding several of its businesses, the past month has seen DP World - the 'ring-fenced' ports and logistics arm of the company - move forward on a number of important projects.rnThese have included, Rotterdam World Gateway in the Netherlands, which is scheduled to open in 2013, in the UK, London Gateway, and at Aden in Yemen.rnThe USD2.4 (GBP 1.5) billion London Gateway container terminal and logistics park on the River Thames, London, had been put on hold in May 2009, as DP World had become increasingly concerned at the drop-off in global container traffic and general ebbing of confidence in the industry.
