Hamburg improves feeder services

Hamburg's two container terminal managers, HHLA and Eurogate, have confirmed more details of how they intend to improve their service to feeder vessel operators in 2010.rnA newly-formed company called Feeder Logistik Zentrale (FLZ) has been established to better co-ordinate scheduling each time a feeder vessel approaches the port. The shareholding of the company will be 67%/33% respectively The service is free of charge.rnInstead of vessel operators having to contact each terminal to get a favourable berth on time, the job will be done for them on request by FLZ.
