The largest intermodal terminal being developed on China's Yangtze River, Chongqing Guoyuan, is expected to start a partial trial run by the end of 2012, according to the Yangtze River Administration. The container-handling facility, which comprises an integral part of the project, should also be completed by the end of this year. It will comprise 14 berths and have an annualised throughput capacity of two million TEU.
