Concrete block masonry development in China

摘要

The first patent for concrete blocks was issued in the USA in 1886, more than 130 years ago. The small blocks spread to China in 1923 and at that time more than 10,000m~2 of three-storey dwellings were completed in Shanghai. China started to import American block-making equipment after 1945 and has been using its own equipment since the mid-1960s.
